The application of photo-sensitive nano fragrance on wallpaper

Abstract

In this article, the mesoporous silica nanocolumns were prepared via sol-gel method. The photo-sensitive small molecules were coupled with mesoporous silica nanocolumns during the preparation of these nanoparticles. With the higher surface area and pore volume, plenty of sandela 803 was encapsulated in the photo-sensitive mesoporous silica nanocolumns to form the nano fragrance, which was then applied to wallpaper. Finally, the release profiles of wallpaper treated nano fragrance were detected by gas chromatography. The results show that the wallpaper-treated nano fragrance could release sandela 803 slowly in the dark and controllably in the light.
